XXII International fanclub basketball championship 2019

1. Time and Place

The Tournament will take place on 29.06.2019 Õismäe Sports Hall (Õismäe Tee 177), starting at 10:00. Team representatives must attend 9:30 to tournament briefing.
All team representatives must confirm their participation by 01.05.2019

2. Goals and objectives

Popularize basketball between fans. Giving a chance to develop our basketball skills and to attract more participants and spectators to keep the tournament ongoing for many years. To reveal the strongest basketball fan teams. At the tournament, team members may not be under the influence of alcohol or other illegal substances that may result in health problems or negative impact on the smooth operation of the tournament.

3. Game rules

• Game time is 2x10 minutes. Time is stopped last minute of the game.
• For information, there will be 5 second rule for throw ins, freethrows etc. The referees will watch this very closely.
• Offensive time will be 24 seconds, after offensive rebound 14 seconds.
• The teams have one time out each half. Half time will be 1 minute long.
• Each team can submit 12 players
• Player is eliminated from game after three fouls. Every two unsportsmanlike or technical fouls means elimination.
• After four team fouls, freethrows are awarded for opponents
• If both teams have same colour shirts, „home team“ must wear yellow vests from organizers.
• Every game has two referees
• All players must behave correctly. Team representative will be responsible of the team players.

4. Tournament regulation

• There will be 16 teams, who are drawn into four groups of A, B, C and D, each group has four teams
• All teams in group will play with each other
• First two of each group advance into quarterfinals, third and fourth place will play for places 9-16. All places will be played
• In grup stage, the games can finish in a tie
• In play-offs, the winner must advance. If regular time ends in a tie, extra time is played of 1 minute until we have a winner. Time is stopped during extra time.
• In group stage, a win gives 3 points, a tie 1 point and a loss 0 points.
• If more than one team has same point score then games between them are looked. If still a tie, then overall basket score, and lastly a draw.

5. Equipment

Each team has to have their warming up basketballs.
Game ball will be from tournament organizer.
Teams must have one colored shirts, with clear and different numbers.

6. Schedule

1. 10:00 opening ceremony
2. 10:30 first games
3. 13:00 lunch time
4. 13:30 shooting contest
5. 18:00 award ceremony
6. Afterparty

7. Entry fee

Entry fee will be 120 euros per team. Money has to be transferred by 01.06.2019

8. Participants

Tournament is open for men and women of all age, who are not from Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian or Russian professional basketball leagues 2017-2019. All teams must send their roster with player name, height, weight, birth date and shirt number to organizers by 15.06.2019. If team fails to appear in the championship, entry fee paid is non-refundable.

9. Awarding

All teams recieve awards and the top 3 teams will be awarded with trophies, medals and souvenirs, Extra prizes for shooting contest winner
